Except for the two years I threw a perpetual temper tantrum in Iowa, I’ve lived in Georgia my whole life. My husband Jared and I have two boys, Porter and Liam, who keep us on our toes and always wake us up at 7:30 in the morning. I love cheese and that’s not an understatement…I usually eat a little bit with every meal. Eccentric is a good label for me and my lifestyle.
I graduated from Georgia State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in religious studies and it’s a miracle I graduated given how scattered I was at the time. I’m a mental health consumer who struggles daily with balance. Yes, the boys go to daycare and yes, I’m a stay at home mom and wife.
For fun, I dabble in lampworking, specifically making beads. I also knit while I watch tv a lot…I love British TV. My new emphasis is on photography instead writing,. Taking a recent creative writing class determined that fiction is not for me and I’m not interested in writing a memoir, yet, anyway. However, if you need to compose a rant, I’m your girl.
There’s a lot that I said I’d never do, that I’ve done. Life’s been a lesson in refraining from judgment of others.
I am a detached-attachment parent and I love my children fiercely.
I hang out at local coffee shops and fast food places, wherever has working wi-fi. My computer and camera are my life right now.
I fashion bits of creativity into being. I write little notes. That’s the short of it.
