This resolution is tricky. As I discovered when I tried to do NaNoWriMo last November, I’ve got to stick to the non-fiction genre. Specifically, I am planning to write a memoir.
I have a title and a cover page. I will self-publish and I will not promote because, well, it’s memoir and I don’t think it will be that interesting to people outside my family. The goal of this project will be to get it done and to write something my children can remember me by when I’m gone. Morbid goal, I know, but I do want to leave them with something they can truly know me by as a person, not just as their mother.
I downloaded some helpful software last night to help me organize, as I found Pages to be sadly lacking in the organization area when I was writing last November.
Wish me luck. I started today and my goal is to have it done by December 15, 2013. I’ve spent the last hour compiling pictures to be included. This is just the start.
